Sigurd Felde was born and raised with the mountains as his playground. With more than 20 years' experience as a geologist and Tindevegleder (UIAGM/Nortind), he has also made the mountains his workplace. On a daily basis, the pleasant Westerner works as a mountain guide.

Favorite city
It's very difficult to pick out one particular place, but a place that has given me extremely strong experiences over the years, from my first trips in alpine terrain, to today and now as an “office town”, is Hurrungane in West Jotunheimen.
The wildest mountains in the country, which can easily compete with the Alps when it comes to size and opportunities. I still make new trips here, even though this is the mountain area in Norway that is most used and has the longest tradition of steep outdoor activities. However, the area is also well suited to modern outdoor life, where fixed heels have become an increasingly common way of playing in the mountains. New times, but the mountains here never go out of fashion, never get boring. They never cease to surprise me.
Chief surveyor
Sigurd has a great love of finding his own way through first ascents, making new ascents and finding new descents. He has skied on every continent in the world and boasts (but never does) several first ascents in Canada, Pakistan and Patagonia.
Favorite activity
The steep outdoor life has always had a strong attraction for me. It's about exploring the unknown, going to the limit, perhaps over it, only to find out that the limit can be pushed. Mastering the elements, being balanced in a challenging situation where both weather and terrain put you to the test. Whether it's skiing or climbing is determined by the weather that day. Picking from the top shelf according to the conditions. Nothing beats a good climbing trip, and nothing compares to a fantastic ski trip in perfect snow.

- Trollveggen in winter

The Kvardaga adventure
When it comes to my own trips, things have changed over the years. In the past, when time was not a limited resource, trips could last for months, something I really enjoyed. Getting really into the trip bubble and staying there. Today, it's the daily adventure that counts. To be able to deliver to the kindergarten, go out with a good friend, find an uncharted site, play Aksel Lund Svindal downhill, reach the kindergarten before closing time, brush snow off my shoulders and be greeted by the most wonderful kids.
