Since I grew up along the mountain sides deep in the Sognefjorden, access to the mountains has always been short. Here in the fjord in Sogn, I am often lucky with long and snowy winters. The proximity to Jostedalsbreen and Hurrungane means that we can often start the ski season early in autumn and end the season late in spring/summer. I will never forget a trip to Hurrungane at the beginning of June a few years ago. The snow was dry and deep, while it was summer down by the fjord. It doesn't get any better!

Since I was little, skiing has been an important part of my life. The mountain and the snow have always been a playground where I can challenge my skiing skills and develop my knowledge of safe travel in the mountains. For me, both are equally important! In the last 10-15 years, I have explored many of the ski lines Heimfjella has to offer. I always try to explore new areas every winter, or take a new twist on an old classic. Every winter is different and one of the things that fascinates me the most is that the snow falls differently on the mountains from year to year. This means that new ski lines and variants are constantly appearing.

The mountain has always been a second home to me. It means a lot to have good experiences in the mountains with friends and family. So I try to get to the mountains as often as possible!
